Unlocking Motivation

The JA Be Entrepreneurial program empowers high school students to think creatively, identify business opportunities, and develop an entrepreneurial mindset. Volunteers play a vital role by bringing lessons to life, sharing real-world business insights, and inspiring students to consider entrepreneurship as a career pathway.

Volunteers

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging JA Be Entrepreneurial curriculum (provided by JA) in a classroom setting.
  • Facilitate discussions and activities that encourage students to think critically and creatively.
  • Share personal and professional experiences related to business, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
  • Serve as a positive role model, encouraging students to explore their strengths and potential.
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher to ensure smooth lesson delivery.
  • Complete a short volunteer training session to become familiar with JA curriculum and teaching strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Enthusiasm for working with high school students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Interest or background in business, entrepreneurship, finance, or leadership (not required but a plus).
  • Reliability and commitment to completing the program once scheduled.

Support & Training:

  • JA provides a step-by-step volunteer guide, training, and all program materials.
  • Staff support is available before and during your classroom experience.
