Junior Achievement (JA) offers a variety of volunteer opportunities designed to help students develop financial literacy, career readiness, and entrepreneurship skills. Volunteers typically share real-world experiences and help students connect classroom learning to future careers.

Junior Achievement Volunteer Roles

• Classroom Volunteer

  • Deliver JA's structured lessons in K–12 classrooms.
  • Lead discussions and activities related to money management, careers, and business.
  • Commitments may range from a single day to weekly sessions over several weeks.

• JA in a Day

  • Teach an entire JA program in one school day.
  • Ideal for professionals who want a high-impact opportunity with a limited time commitment.

• JA Finance Park Volunteer

  • Guide middle and high school students through realistic budgeting and personal finance exercises.
  • Students make decisions about housing, transportation, insurance, savings, and other expenses.

• Career Exploration and Job Shadowing

  • Host students at a workplace, discuss career paths, and provide exposure to different industries.
  • Support career fairs and mentoring activities.

• Entrepreneurship and Company Program Coaches

  • Mentor student teams as they create and manage a business venture.
  • Help students develop leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
