Nope. JA provides training, ready-to-use materials, and ongoing support. All you need is enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine interest in helping young people succeed.
3. How much time does volunteering take?
It depends on the program. Some are one-day events like “JA in a Day,” while others involve weekly sessions over a few weeks. You choose what fits your schedule.
4. Where does volunteering happen?
Most programs take place in schools across Central Texas, but there are also virtual options and special events like JA Finance Park®.
5. What ages are the students?
JA serves students from kindergarten through 12th grade. You can choose the age group you're most comfortable working with.
